Sashiko Template for Dot Patterns Diagonal Grid

A Sashiko dot template designed for creating evenly spaced marks for Sashiko, embroidery, and other stitching projects.

The holes are arranged diagonally to create triangular and diamond-shaped grids. This type of layout can be used as the foundation for geometric Sashiko patterns such as Asanoha, Kagome, Sayagata, and other angled designs.

Compared with a square grid, the diagonal grid requires a little more care when working with angles and pattern placement, but it allows you to create more dimensional and intricate geometric designs.

The series is available in 1 mm pitch variations, making it easier to choose the grid size that suits your fabric, thread, and pattern. You can follow traditional Sashiko designs or use the grid as a starting point to create your own original patterns.

The template can also be used for smocking, cross stitch, French embroidery, Kuguri-sashi, paper embroidery, and running-stitch guides.

Made from a thin, semi-transparent light grey sheet, the fabric underneath remains visible while marking. The small holes help create precise marks, and the light grey surface makes each hole easy to see.
