COSMO is an embroidery floss line produced by Lecien Corporation. Lecien began offering Cosmo embroidery thread in 1950, initially in 195 colours, but expanded the palette to 500 colours to inspire a wider audience.
The brand is defined by its meticulous selection of raw materials and production methods: it uses rare, high‑grade extra‑long‑staple cotton blended for strength and elasticity. A proprietary dye blend and special processing by skilled artisans give the thread a silk‑like glossy sheen, a soft hand and rich, long‑lasting colours that resist fading or bleeding.
