Puffy Flower Motif Pattern
1. Center
Make a Magic Ring (MR).
Work 5 sc into the ring.
Pull the tail to close the ring tightly.
Sl st into the first sc to join.
2. Petals (5 petals total)
You will make 1 petal in each sc from the center round.
Petal (in next sc):
Ch 3.
In the same stitch (at the base of ch-3), work 5 unfinished dc:
Yarn over, insert hook, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, stop.
(Leave remaining loops on the hook.)
Repeat until you have 5 unfinished dc in the same stitch.
Yarn over and pull through all loops on the hook to close the cluster.
Ch 3, then sl st into the same stitch.
(1 petal made)
Move to the next stitch and repeat.
Continue around until you have 5 petals total.
3. Finish
Fasten off, leaving about 10 cm / 4 in tail.
Weave in all ends neatly.
Optional Ideas
Add a small loop and turn it into a keychain
Sew it onto a tote bag or pouch
Attach it to a headband or hair clip
Make several flowers and join them into a garland
You can experiment with different colors for a soft spring palette.
Pastel shades work beautifully, but a single neutral tone also feels elegant and calm.
A Small Spring Pause
This flower is a reminder that even the smallest handmade piece can bring quiet joy.
A few stitches, a soft yarn, and a little moment just for yourself.
We hope this small flower brings a gentle beginning to your March.
